Château Sallettes
Anaïs gave us a friendly and open welcome into the Château Sallettes cave-à-vin that is situated in the north western part of Bandol AOC, just beneath the hills that separate Var from Bouches-du-Rhone.
Anaïs was informative and detailed in her explanations of the wine and the vineyard that is one of the older ones in the region. This is probably a good winery to put early in your agenda as she is passionate and informative about the wines of Bandol in general and of course, Sallettes in particular.

The rosé we tried was the 2017 Bandol that was a fairly even combination of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault and proved fairly fruity, easy going and simple – something you could possibly drink all afternoon (which, I may point out, we didn’t).
Tried, tasted the 2017 Château Sallettes Rosé at € /bottle.
Destination, drop-in or drive-by? – Very friendly and informative with good wines that you will see in local restaurants. Make sure you add this to your itinerary.
