Pegasus Bay
Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon
2015
Waipara Valley, New Zealand
This wine was recommended to us as an ‘interesting’ bottle to be served icy cold and so we tried it for an early lock-down evening apéro with some fresh ciabatta bread and olive oil and our ‘socially distant’ neighbours over the wall (who were on their own wine).
The Pegasus bottle is a concentrated wine, reminiscent of one of the new chalk-based English wines - almost an aromatic of honey and lime but with a natural fizz underlying the mineral base, An acquired taste, lovely to sip chilled on a warm evening but not one that everyone would enjoy.
Cost: Over SGD$50
