Never had a bad bottle of wine from the Antinori Estate and this lovely red that we ate with a suitably themed and expertly-cooked Florentine Steak with rocket salad was the perfect roof-top treat,

A great opening of oak and vanilla circled the cherry and cassis of the fruit with a slight sweetness of chocolate and low tannins perhaps hinting that we should have waited a little longer before opening the 2018 vintage. A touch more of true earth notes would have given the undertone the bottle needs to completely round it off. This is a great bottle.
