Great wine for a Wet day
Fog, North of Barolo
Nebbiolo is a grape whose name is derived from the Italian word for fog and tradition has it that they are picked when the mist or clouds are rising in Piedmont. Itβs when the clouds are descending on a day of downpours and when the temperature falls by just one or two degrees that the time is right to open this wine in the tropics. The bold red grape goes into Barolo and Barbaresco and its robust earthy undertone is a delight when the skies are grey.
