Priavino
Roberto Voerzio
Dolcetto 2016
Alba, Italy
Punchy but unfortunately poorly stored which meant the cork was on the dry side. Nonetheless, decanting gave the wine the grapes from Piedmont the breather they needed and it was the earthy leather hue that dominated the nose with dark cherry and smoothed tannins carrying through the body. And the pour was perfect. An excellent wine (particularly at the price) even better with a rib-eye steak supper and some home made ‘lock-down’ ciabatta.
Cost: SG $30-ish
