Domaine Maubernard

This vineyard is a frisbee throw from the beach at Saint Cyr-Sur-Mer and certainly accessible by foot from the town. It is a discrete winery with a very attractive lavender-lined approach and earnest reception.

A quick goûter of the pink stuff in the small bottling cave was an awake to the palette and surprisingly good. The smart label of the bottle – probably the nicest in Bandol – is justifiably proud.

Tried, tasted and purchased the Domaine Maubernard 2017 rosé at €12/bottle.

Destination, drop-in or drive-by? – Destination for a brief stop, especially if you are short on time or if you’re touring on foot / by bike.
